wish i knew why, but i been detecting the same site for months...for some odd reason in the front yard there is a a portion of the property between 2 trees 10x10 that CANNOT be detected!

i dug down into the ground as far as 3 feet to examine the soil in the areas and its exactly whats in the rest of the yard.. no power lines, its not near the building, and no matter how i groundtrac or ground balance my machine it goes completely nuts blasting off all tones none stop till i step outside this portion of earth(even if the coil is off the ground and in the air)..hunting mode makes no difference be it notch, auto notch, disc or all metal.

i had some time today so i picked up a box of popsicle sticks and decided to try and map out the area thats causing me problems.
its a mis shaped triangle. kinda like a roof on edge.

anyone ever come across areas like this? ever figure out what caused it?

Is there barbed wire in the trees? That did it for me one time ::) Or it could be some kind or interference, possibly extraterrestrial :P lol

i already ruled out ufo's.. ;D
i did check the trees & pass my detector over and around the trees..

i was considering the possiblility of interferance being focused on the area by the tin roof of the church ???

A nearby satellite dish can have that effect, I have a spot at the beach that gives me fits! the dish is on the nearby hotel and makes a spot about 50' in diameter of total interference!

Positively flying saucer landing area . Nothing can be done about it . These anti - gravity powered ships upset the magnetic field in the earth causing energy of any kind to be reflected back out in random patterns. I learned about this last time i was kidnapped , and taken for medical experiments . Get er dug .

a Doorway to hell?
the church could have been built there to cover the gate to keep satan and his minions at bay.

i better stay away from that spot..i don't want to risk a demon possesing my landstar :o

Contact the series "Unsolved Mysteries" and see if they want to hire you as a guide to a really weird place. Scale pay could net you a couple thousand bucks for a couple days work. exanimo, ss

Actually the EARTH REALY is FLAT.

It is Being Carried Through Space on a Triangular Shaped Space Craft.

You just Happen to be standing on that Spot.

Yep no doubt about it. I still got a nasty anal probe in me from my previous six extraterrestrial kidnappings that plays hell with my MD.

Just give up ;D

personally i would start in the middle and dig a bit further, a very large target {especially iron as in chest maybe} buried many years will leach into the soil enough to cause a detector to respond as such.......i recently dug a hatchet head that is at the very least 150 years old, possibly older ,,,,,,it is approximately 3 by 3 1/2 inches,,,,,,,i dug it at nearly 2 feet deep......my explorer 2 with a 10 1/2 inch coil sounded as if i was over a 4 cylinder engine block 4 inches deep.................dig man, what you got to lose...................gldhntr

See, I told you the earth was really flat so thanks Jeff for backing me up! Ady as far as your problem, are you sure you didn't drink too much and wind up in the "Tool Shed" bar in Kansas City? A friend and I accidentally walked into that bar one night and there was indeed a bunch of aliens wearing leather hot pants with matching halter tops! Luckily we escaped before they could probe us. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
On a serious note, you might want to get a steel bar and do some probing of that area (no pun intended) to see if you hit anything solid a couple of feet down. Just hope it's not your cable tv or a high pressure fuel line! I hit an area where some slag from a foundary was dumped once and got some really weird readings. Luckily most of it was just under the surface and I was able to dig some of it up. Found a lot of pieces of what was molten metal that had solidified in clumps. JIM
