Has anyone ever ordered coins from the MORGANMINT . The reason i am asking is because i want to find out if they are a good and legit service. I recently ordered some coins from them and the package is late by 4 days thats why i am becoming worried. I sent them an email but still no response so if someone had any good/bad experiences please let me know .....thank you in advance

Sorry I never heard of them before now. I did just check their website though, if you do get your order I wouldn't order any more if I were you. They are way over priced, you can do a lot better.

I got a morgan dollar , peace dollar and a 2007 silver eagle for 14.99 each plus 6.99 shipping to canada

I have a friend who told me just yesterday that he got 5 Morgan’s from them, and he’s very unhappy. He also purchased a few coins from the Atocha. And he's so unhappy with the Morgan deal that he doesn’t want to not accept the Atocha coins that have not arrived as of yet.

I would base my decision on how easy they would be to liquidate, and how long that would take while keeping in mind profit, or at least what I paid for them. Ask yourself this question, (how can I sell them if I needed to and how long it that would take?).

Buy Gold or Key Coins.

Re: The Morgan Mint review

I've heard about them, never looked into their product. I would shy away from those services that have no clue as to what condition their coins are in or that use the description VG or better to make people think they are getting coins in great condition, when we all know that a coin in VG condition is actually no where near mint. I think the best place to get a good coin in a good grade besides a dealer is to get one at an online auction that is slabbed. You'd probably invest better in an actually rare date or key coin slabbed then in buying bulk coins. Take a look at the PCGS price guide for an idea of the circulation numbers, key dates and price spikes based on MS. What I mean by that is that sometimes you are going to do better by getting to as close as it is affordable without splurging on that MS number that commands price. I've outlined in what grade my money would be spent on these grades as opposed to pouring money on the next grade up. Link to the price guide..... http://www.pcgs.com/prices/

Re: The Morgan Mint review

The coins are in mint condition, but they have a shipload of them, same with the coins from the Atocha. When you have 10's of thousands of the same coin the value goes down. But if you had 10's of thousands of Gold coins you would automatic be rich, you wouldn’t have try and squeak every dime from them by selling them 1 at a time or small lots. If they flooded the market with those coins they would probably be worth just over the silver content. So the Companies are trying marketing them to get the most profit.

Re: The Morgan Mint review

They advertise their Peace and Morgan dollars at their giveaway price of $24.95 each in VF.

Re: The Morgan Mint review

about a month ago when i ordered mine they were selling for 14.95 and now they changed it to 24.95 probably because silver went up a lot

Re: The Morgan Mint review

Most of these places, even the late night home shopping networks that sell coins are targeting people who do not understand what a coin looks like at a certain grade. They abuse catch phrases such as "Gem" slapped together with "BU". They hype up Extremely Fine to convince people these are top grades or something. They will usually put together three lines of coins and tell you they are at least Very Good to Extremely Fine. You could do a ton better with a dealer or even on Ebay. There's only two ways to put together a set of non type coins in my opinion .......either with no issue as to grade (Pure enjoyment) or with an eye towards obtaining the best grade affordable.

Re: The Morgan Mint review

the price 14.95 was what attracted my attention because i sort of saw that the price of silver is rising and now that silver is at almost17.50 i guess i made some sort of profit if you dont count the shipping cost but i only wanted a morgan and a peace as well as a silver eagle because i figured i wont find one crh.

Re: The Morgan Mint review

Can't comment on your coins or the morgan mint..but, I visted a local coin shop a few months ago and inquired about silver dollars... the owner showed me boxes of shiny morgans...he said he gets them from people who bought 'em off the TV shows and only pays spot less a percentage...he told me most are hand polished to make them look good...but have no value other then scrap...Don't know if this is true, but that's what he told me...BTW I was looking to BUY not sell....
