I was almost thinking I wouldn't go out this morning as we had a very high tide. But I decided last night that I was just going to hunt the sand as it is still a bit cool for people to go in the water. I haven't been finding anything in the water the last few days, so I decided to just look for coins in the sand.
I noticed a little cutout in sand about 6" from last nights high tide. I started pulling out (4 or 5) 5c coins (Australian). They sound a lot like foil when they are a few inches in the sand. I then got a signal that sounded very much like the 5c coins and expected to get another, but after shaking the sand out of my scoop, I had my first GOLD ring. It is a nice little 9ct ladies band.
I also found a nice little flashlight that must have been lost last night as it wasn't very deep and still works and also $6.92 in coins.
I tried to post a picture, but I kept getting a message that my upload folder was full, but I am using an image that is well below the 128 KB max.
