Hey all,

Today was it. I had decided it was the last hurrah for this newb in the Great White North for 2016. All those pennies will have to wait until next year to be freed but I was hoping the new basketball court (early '70's build) would give me something nice before I quit.

It's super small (fits on a penny) but it's my 5th gold since the end of September and a good way to go out. Thank you to everyone on this board. The advice and general encouragement really helped get me to the treasure. I figure I paid for my gear so the year was a win!

Happy hunting for those still out!

Congrats on the gold

Thanks Trapper.

I would say those finds are awesome since you just started this Sept.

Hi Thrifty, yeah, my post wasn't clear. Sorry. I started in June. Didn't find much more than clad until September when the flood gates opened. Still, I've been lucky since.

Beautiful collection of finds! Congrats on some new gold! :treasurechest::icon_thumright:

You done good!! And, maybe.......just maybe, there'll be another day or two before the northwinds bring in old man winter...........

Awesome gold total score for the year. I have only dig one a year. This is a hobby that funds itself. I stop when the dirt freezes. Most years the ground is frozen in Mid Jan through Feb here in my area.

Good looking collection of digs, you had a great first season!

If I'm able to get out today, it will be the last time for me too.

What a great Fall though, usually we are snowed under by now. Hopefully the melting and thawing starts in April--a five month winter is fine with me!!
