During my first dig of the new year yesterday, I was able to cull a few keepers from some local schoolyards. But there were some interesting twists too!
(1) The Impressive. Well, to me at least, as I always love seeing that silver in the plug! A child's .925 marked sterling birthstone ring. 80 VDI on the ATPro.
(2) The Impostor. How dare someone stamp this little "birthstone" ring with "925" when it is merely plated!. (Rang up as a pull tab-55 on the ATPro.)
(3) The Improvement. I will take this older, plated bling ring any day over those goofy "Alumi-rings" that plague our schoolyards and parks! 58 VDI.
Here are a few more keepers from the day. A "Tiger Cub Scout" neckerchief slide, a brass earring, a bling earring, and a local park token.
Thanks for looking! Here's wishing all my TNet friends a great new year of digging and discovery. Sub
