Back to what I'm calling the 'Mega Grid', its now taking us an average of 30 minutes every single run. We are on the far side of the field working slowly towards the Roman Site. In an area, we were expecting about 1 hammered a hunt. 1 Roman Silver was a rank outsider, so it really boosted our day.
5 Hours;

3 Roman Bronze Coins
18th C Clog Clasp
Rose Farthing
17th C Token
Medieval Lead Weight
7582nd Air Base Squadron Soft Ball Champs 1956 Lighter
Bit of a Roman Fibula
An OK Roman Silver Siliqua of Gratian, AD370s, better than the 2 modern silvers!8-)

Great stuff from a "hunted out" field, congrats! :occasion14:

Great! Love the siliqua! Is that a Trier mint? Is the Shilling now a hammered too? :laughing7:

Yeap, the title is a little confusing now. It used to be ''Hunted Out'' Roman Site. Which the area mostly is. But when I started gridding the area outside of the site, I changed it to Field. So the field is not hunted out & some of it has never been gridded.

Once again over the top!! NEVER HUNTED OUT!:occasion14:

Somebody beat the heck out of that George V !, is the bent silver a Queen Vickie sixpence ? The Siliqua is in way better shape than the KGV and the Queen V. ( if that's what it is )

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

It is a sixpence but couldn't work out who?

I'm not sure if the blue or the red background is older than the coins :laughing7:

Great finds as always. :occasion14:

Well done sir!

I wish we had hunted out places like that. Good luck.

Yeap, a bit mis-leading title, this mega-Grid area is outside of the ''Hunt Out'' Roman area.
