Muhammad Ali passed away after a 30 year battle with Parkinson's Disease...
My earliest memories with my Dad are watching Ali rope a dope George Forman...
He was so smooth, so flashy, and so entertaining, the original controversial athlete.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee... We all know that, but my favorite line of his?
I'm so mean, I make medicine sick.

My favorite was---"I'm so fast I could run thru a hurricane and not get wet "

....the original controversial athlete.

I'm not sure Jack Johnson or Jackie Robinson - among others - would agree with you there. But I get what you mean :)

Hi; He was the Greatest Boxer that ever lived. We will miss him. May God Bless him & his. The World has lost a great man. RIP. :leprechaun-hat: PEACE:RONB

Who else would change their religion, convictions, and be stripped of their career, for the belief that war is wrong?
He was hated by many Americans for his beliefs, but the Supreme Court recognized and supported his rights, as an American....

IMHO - Ali was a coward, racist, egotistical, pathetic human being; but damn that dude could box!!!!

Lets please keep it non political, thread is about ALi as a boxer, not his political or religious views....

In my opinion Ali was the greatest heavyweight boxer, at least in my lifetime and I am 67........

Ga_Boy your post was deleted for language and ignoring mod request to keep politics out of thread, thread is about Ali the boxer, not Vietnam or religion..

The Greatest of All Time...Rest in Peace.

I grew up on Ali. Loved his "interviews" with Cosell. The most memorable and emotional memory of Ali was when he appeared at the top of the platform to light the torch @ the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. That's one of my personal top 5 sports moments of all time.
