Hi all.

In 1851 gold was found at about 40 locations and not know as a single gold rush but numerous rushes that took place over a 100 years from 1851 to 1950. Stll today there still gold to found but the best thing about the site i have camp and miner hut sites untouched. Hidden under massive undergrowth for 50 years. Until the big fires that happened last summer.Beening so dry this year it will take many years for the site to become over grown again. ;D ;D ;D

Theres a couple of old drawing of the site which i have used from an old local news paper Bendigo Daly Bee 1852. This will be followed by 40 pics of the site and dig.

Used a Minelab GPX 4500 with a mono 12 inch coil. Set on auto retune and then my thresh hold turned right down and gain set at 9 with the manual over-ride. Hums like a bee and turns into a mighty dirt monster that eats up everything. Digging all targets is the way to go on a site like this.

About 3000 miners worked this gully so there heeps of relics spanding nearly 100 years to be found. There tent camps , wine shanties ,as well as mining structures and huts and cottages.

tinpan first is the finds and old newapaper pics and followed by 40 site pics

hi ironpatch half crown deemed a proclaimation coinage of th gold rush. Shortage of coin met disused silver coin from several countries where used. value was based on silver weight.Reales ,german -dutch india coins where also used.that appllied to silver and gold coins only
