I want to get a good detector i have thought of spending the 1,200 on the garret 2500 and the blood hound attachment basicaly the who kit. is it a Good idea? I live in michigan and want to go from 1" to 15 feet if i feel like it. im new to this really dont want a cheap one but i want a good one i have more time on my hands than people know plus walking is the excersise im aloud

If you have a reason to go Deep then the 2500 is the way to go but you must use the bloodhound to do it. Other wise with the stock coils it wont surpass the other Md's out there Most seem to think its not as deep as the DFX and Minlab detectors.
But with the blood hound and some good research you will find treasure
Good luck and keep swinging

With the specifications you've mentioned, you probably couldn't make a better choice.

Hello Mars. I have had "the kit" if you will, if you think you'll need to go that deep for caches etc go for it.
(DON'T FORGET TO FILL YOUR PLUGG(S)!! :tongue3: )
Note that the eagle eye (2 box) works in "true all metal" thus it will react to EVERY piece of metal large enough.

Don said it well. 8)
