The Flora De La Mar

I read about this ship years ago. If I remember correctly, two main problems are the coral growth that will be hard to get through without damaging the ship or cargo and the strong currents in this location. So it may still be there. And it will take a major expedition and equipment to get it.

good luck with that recovery

Mallaca I'm not buying this story. This ship is probably somewhere off of Sri Lanka instead. Mallaca seems a little far for a 1502 Portuguese Frigate. There must be something more to this story.

Charleston Voice: The Flor de la Mar: A Treasure Ship Still Awaiting Discovery

It's probably mixed into some pretty old underwater ruins off of Sri Lanka or India.
Do you have any idea where the Portuguese were in the year 1502? They just about owned the world and ruled the oceans. Trade routes to India, Brazil, etc. Doesnt seem too far fetched IMO.

What Happened Buccaneer ?
