The dr. who's working on my TH'ing back

Just had an MRI done on a lower back problem....and happened to have several Korean holed coins in my pocket, which
I showed the Neurologist who ordered the MRIs. I'm from Oregon, turns out he's lived in Oregon, too......and he likes hiking.
So, today, Sat, Mar. 14, we headed out for a site that would require a good hike, plus probably would be some coins.
Found 2 Korean coins, 1730's, 1 Korean 5 Fun coin dated 1894, several Japanese coins dating 1915 - 1938, then a handful of Japanese aluminum coins dating WWII.
He had a lot of fun....first time ever combining hiking with THing. :icon_sunny:And I was covered.....if my back went bad. ::)
Still working on getting a digital camera that I can download some pics and send in.

Sounds like an awesome hunt! I am looking forward to hunting in Korea .I heard the bus ride from Kunsan to Osan is about 2.5 hours which is not to bad for some good hunting.

Sounds like you have a new metal detecting partner! I've never combined a hike with metal detecting, seems like a great way to spend an afternoon.

Good partner to have around. Especially if you can get him to do the digging. :D

What a cool thing. I guess you can pick up a md (metal detecting, that is) buddy just about anywhere.

Birdman, I'm definately looking forward to hiking some hills with you, too.
Let's see if, once you're here, if we can get you down here on a Friday evening, then you can sleep here, and we can head out
early early on Sat. a.m. And, there is a stay-open 24 hr per day MacDonalds on the way out of the city. Sound okay?

I think I do have. And he's a good one. He is an Army Medical Officer. Problem is, he's headed for Officer Basic Course this next Saturday, and will be gone for 2 months. But we are already planning on a trip when he gets back. And possibly his wife will be going to.

Hey Terpfan, He's a great partner. Problem is he's headed for Army Basic Army Course this Saturday, and that will take a couple of months for him to finish. But, we are already figuring out where to go when he gets back in May......plus his wife will probably go too. :icon_king: :icon_queen:

RPG, He dug like a pro.....and I let him. ::) Some who I take out do, some hike, some sit and enjoy nature. One rule on
hunts with me: HAVE FUN. (Of course, if they don't dig, they don't share in the dug stuff. :tongue3:

Susan, Many soldiers here with lots of weekend time on their hands. So, I try to get as many GI's away from the out-the-gate ripoff villages as I can. And, I've not had one who didn't appreciate it. Only a little on my part, towards the sacrifices our
young soldiers are making.
