Here's a little something I thought I'd share for the New Year. The difference between English and English, is English :headbang: :tongue3:

I was listening to some radio show and heard a clip of Madonna, saying "pardon", to a reporter. Pardon :dontknow: Where does she get off trying to sound proper :laughing7: She was born in Michigan, probably conceived on the parts line of some car manufacturer. Least forget she spend a good deal of time in NYC and we never say pardon, even if you bump into someone...

Americans have it right.. If you didn't hear what was said the first time, you say "What" and say it with attitude :icon_thumleft: If you want to sound proper then say "excuse me", never pardon

So the difference between English and English boils down to culture.

In short, support bacteria, it's the only culture some Americans have  :laughing9:

uh, I say pardon all the time lol
my parents said it. I assume they got it from their parents who came over on boats.
hmm....

madonna. wow is she still alive? :laughing9: haven't seen anything on her in a long time.

so if your american your not allowed to say Pardon ?

Personally It's not in my Vocabulary

I'm hard of Hearing, so

Huh ? is most of the time.
& "what ?" a distant second

as far as Madonna she's been dead since Like a virgin
went off the top 10, if it was ever there.

She just hasn't dropped over yet

Americans say it all the time. Usually its "Pardon Me.........Please.......Governor". :laughing7:

Pardon me! But do you have any Grey Poupon
