Spent another couple hours at the foundation today. Found nails , some glass , some pottery , a latch to what I think would have been a chest. Like those big wooden ones ... maybe a treasure chest ... was under quite a big rock. Out of the same hole I got this thing about the size and thickness of a nickel & rings as Nickel / Alum not Alum/Zinc on my machine. I haven't a clue what it is , It kinda shaped like a heart with what looks like a hook with also a tiny hole in it. It's kinda mangled so not really sure what it is but it's damn heavy , looks like silver but can't make out what it is and if you weren't using a detector you'd think it was a small piece of slate. Any suggestions on how to test the metal to see what it is made of ? Or how to clean it to seperate whatever needs to be seperated ? I'll get a picture tomorrow hopefully... Had Hotdogs & Steak while we were there as well on the outdoor Hibachi along with Coleslaw and chips and dip. Finding less and less nails on areas we have worked. Now finding strange stuff I guess.. Oh well.

Was a good day .

Peace

Great! I knew you would find more than nails if you kept at it! Congrats! Lunch sounds good too....did you bring some for us? lol

Actually we didn't bring enough for ourselves as it was so good we were left feeling like we could have bought a little more before heading in. The craziness is finally finding something that signals other then iron only to not be able to identify it or what it is made of... then there's tomorrow , what will happen tomorrow? It's all good I suppose, the holes keep getting deeper and cleaned out. I'll find something... If it takes all summer.
