The Copper Scroll

Re: The Copper Scroll... King Solomon's Temple... and... KNIGHT TEMPLARS!!!

Yo! ;D YEP! Good "read"... now, for the REST of the story (as Paul Harvey would say...); it is believed by some pp that Knight Templars found such a scroll, using it to find MORE "treasure" under King Solomon's Temple, becoming VERY wealthy... and WORLD CLASS INTERNATIONAL BANKERS!!! :o http://alandpeters.tripod.com/knightstemplarera1188to1312/id15.html :o ;) OR... just "google": TEMPLARS EXCAVATION OF SOLOMON'S TEMPLE, K.T. ERA: 1188 TO 1312. ;)

I don't believe this, but I thought I would post it anyway because it would make a good read.... It's paraphrased to the max, I'm just writing from memory....

Sometime in the 1100's A.D. The Knights Templar landed in the holy land, legend has it that they dug up several important archaeological sites including the temple mount on mount moriah in jerusalem.... In the vast network of caves under the mount that archaeologists have just verified actually exist, the Templars found what were described as "religious treasures" (ark of the covenant? Holy grail? nobody knows....) anyway, the templars, realizing the crusades were hopeless, hightailed it back to france and stayed there, running a lucrative banking business for almost 200 years, then, in the 1300's, the king of france got pissed off that they were stealing his business and feared a coupe, so, the king of france ordered the headquarters of the knights templar sacked and any templars killed on sight. the french ransacked every templar outpost in france, but no sign of their fabled treasure was found. now, here's where it get's interesting.... around 1350, it is theorized that the templars made expeditions to the new world, sailing from ireland to somewhere in present day novascotia. roslyn chapel is one of those "great mysteries" of the templars that many feel hold the key to the location of their treasure. The theory i personally believe, if I were to buy into all this templar stuff would be that the templars shipped the larger portion of their wealth on a fleet of ships to nova scotia, where they established a colony and intermingled with the native population until most of the templars were killed off or intermarried with the locals, losing all knowledge of their templar past. There are signs that the templars visited novascotia, very convincing ruins, built in traditional romanesque architectural styles, as well as mysterious standing stones and gargoyles, yes, that's right, actual gargoyles, that have been discovered to the south of the ruins of a "mill" which some believe the templars built during their early occupation. But if the templars came to the americas, where is their fabled treasure? well i have two words to answer that question my friends, two words that resound in the ears of any dedicated treasure hunter ------- OAK ISLAND ------- yes, that's right, I believe that if the templars did have any wealth it is now hidden in the surly deapths of the oak island money pit, partially due to the apparent epic manpower and technology it would have taken to build this strange monument to curiousity, the "templarish" features of the pit - codes, booby traps, etc.... and lastly, the infamous drill that was sent down into the moneypit only to resurface with a bit of gold chain, a precious stone, and a medieval manuscript written in latin.

That's all I can remember of that tale off the top of my head, but i think it's purty darn interestin'!

check your tv guide,i believe the history channel running a show on this caught the last few minutes yesteday, they said the scroll lead to treasure but they they got tl the location they found parts of a sword and a cloth with the templars cross on it
