I headed out yesterday to go see a customer who's doing some mine tailings reclamation in order to get right with the EPA so they can hopefully once again reopen a good and responsible operation again. They didn't make the mess, but will need to cleanup what those before did. Behind the old abandon mine captains house is a high mountain stream down in a ravine. Down in it with the low light and mist of the falling water kind of reminds me of the rain forest areas of the North West states. The high peaks all around also capture little to large rain falls at least a couple times a week in the spring and summer and massive amounts of snow that begin in the fall and don't end til mid spring. There was a light rain coming down when I was there. It is a cool little place to have a mine.
