Mark and I went back for another hunt at the site we had such good luck at.....
I tried the Exploder and comically after I detected the coin I walked away and Mark using his hand held pinpointer goes here it is....
Nickle 3-cent piece..as a lot of you know these things come out brown compared to a silver 3 cent piece........aloha johny mc.

I think the site is hunted out until the next flood..we will try the 150 plus acres nearby and hopefully a new cache post will appear....... you never know.. which makes this such a great hobby. Thanks again to everybody who stayed abreast of the story.

I think that site was pretty good to you two!! Nice finds!

You had a great run! Good luck in your future hunts of the area.

Ahh, but how do you know? Do you really thinks you got it all?? It's amazing how many times we have gone over sites thinking we could not possible pull another old coin from it(detected the same ground 10 times or more) and yet we come home with something. Good luck on the other xx acers. Man, you got a lot of detecting to do... ;D :D ;D

Congat's johny...and thank's for all those previous pic's.Good luck and HH!!

Brown & coroded, it's still a nice find, WTG!!!
Looks to be in pretty good condition...
Good luck, Happy hunting~

They are a tough coin to find, read in the foil range. I lucked out with 3 so far. All single finds.

Hey, Johnny, that's another nice coin. Can you read the date on it? 1883-1887's are worth some good money. :o

That's the first dug three-cent-nickel I've seen.? I've known of a lot of three-cent-silvers found, but never known anybody who found a 3cN.? Congrats.

I'll bet they give a really crummy reading below the pulltab range, which might be why so fewer of them are found than the silver ones, eh?

Aha.? I see that question was already answered.
