The ACE250 arrived today!!

Well, my new ACE250 finally arrived today! It's an upgrade over my BH Pioneer 101, and I plan to take it tommorow to the same stretch of beach I hunted last weekend with the BH, where I found the 14K earring and the railroad spike. I'm going to hunt the exact same area, just to see what, if anything I missed. I'll post some feedback over the weekend as to my results! Can't wait to get put there!!!!

Thanks guys! I did some air tests with it tonight, and so far anyway, the target ID seems right on. I used some clad, some wheaties some new zinc pennies, nickels, silver dimes, my gold wedding band, and some junk metals. The target ID read everything right, except the wheaties. Those showed as dimes, while the new zinc pennies showed up as pennies. Everything else was right on, so I am pysched to hit the beach!! I;ll have to work on the pinpointing feature some, but that'll come with practice. I am now engrossed in Garrett's "The New Successfull Coin Hunter" book, which came as a freebie with the detector. Now I just need the spring to start rolling in, and melt off all this @#!$% snow! I'll post results tommorow after I hot the beach again. Thanks again guys!

I received my new 250 Tuesday after work, I also did a few tests (change on the living room carpet) and was quite surprised at the accuracy and pinpoint on this new machine which is an upgrade of my antique BH. I was all set to go out and try some old homesites and also the old still I mentioned in a previous post but as it always does something has come up and I am going to have to wait until Sunday. Anyway I will also keep everyone posted on my progress with the new machine.
