Here is a nice summary of the story that tells both sides. Folks who have been following this probably won't find much that's new. It's a good wrap-up of a fascinating saga:

Personally, I find it frustrating when articles mention books about an event yet don't provide any other information. Sure, I can probably find it - a few more hints, at least, would be helpful.
