Thanksgiving Morning Hunt 2023

Spent time over in the 1900's home field. Mostly iron finds and I left out the tons of can slaw I brought home. I ended up with 5 new shotgun shell headstamps: REM-UMC Nitro Club 1915-1942, Peters High Gun 1915-1927, UMC Co Challenge 1901-1907, UMC Co New Club w/no circle around the primer 1896-1900, and a Winchester Leader w/Made in USA 1933-1943. There is a brass handle, part of a wood stove door (maybe), a large clump of iron, a random piece of copper, and some other miscellaneous iron.

Decent morning, a bit unhappy that I didn't find anything really cool, but happy to have been out searching. Most of this stuff was totally coated in mud. We had two inches of rain Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Decent morning, a bit unhappy that I didn't find anything really cool, but happy to have been out searching.

A bad day metal detecting beats a good day stuck behind a desk.

And I think the headstamps are pretty cool.
