My mother did the cooking on Wednesday so I had a free Thanksgiving Day to detect. I got permisson to detect 2 yards and I hit them just a little. The totals for the day were 8 Lincoln cents, 2 quarters, 2 nickels, 4 wheat cents and a small gold plated pin that looks like a buckle. I dug a pile of tabs, aluminum siding trimmings and the usual junk. The 1922 wheat cent is the first one with that date that I have ever dug. It is pretty beat and I can't tell if it is a weak D or no D. There was no silver found this time but there were no Zincolns found either. It was a great day to be out detecting. Thanks for looking! DD

The pin looks like a small buckle, even has hooks .... maybe the strap of a bag lady.

I'd say there's definately a D there. Possibly a weak D.

Great days hunt.

Not bad for a few minutes hunt. Keep the pull tabs, they grade at #1 aluminum and will take a lot to make some spare change, but I bet you dig them all the time

Nicely done!

All the best,

Lanny
