Thanks John for taking me under your wing and showing me the true treasure of the Superstition Mountains is the forbidden history of the Spanish mining effort. On our outings I have seen more Priests and Kings,and horses, some of incredible proportions, than I ever thought existed. I have seen holes cleaned out by a relentless and systematic mining machine. I have seen sculptures to rival the best of the masters hanging on cliffs and peering out from vegetation. I have seen the remnants of cities in the mountains. Cities that housed thousands of people over hundreds of years. I have also seen the cemeteries of their dead. We have not taken any treasure from these places, but I am a far richer man for having seen these places. I know you take a hit on this web site for your supposed Peridilio, but we know what we know and that knowledge enriches my life every day that I live. I am reminded of a line in the Bible that says "There are none so blind as those who will not see." Everyone is so blinded by the supposed wealth of the LDM that they cannot see the wealth that is right in front of them.
