All Treasure Hunting
Hey guys, sometimes during the summer I take in freebies left over from yard sales and recycle scrap metal.
I wanted to show you one of my favorite treasures I have got from doing just that.
This Bausch and Lomb Microscope was made from 1900-1920. The only model online I could verify online was one made in 1914. But this one is slightly older due to the serial being 15,000 lower.
I'm very in to science so I'm very proud of this treasure find. Although the brass is starting to get icky and is in need of some brass polish compound. It's not complete but it does work.
What are some of your favorite treasures?

Here are some of my detecting baubles. The pic is a few years old. Almost all has been given away. Most to a New York hunter asking for items to use in an underprivledged kid's hunt. Virtually all my treasures are the friends I've made here on T-Net. TTC

You guys are so awesome! I have no claims to anything that awesome! My unique finds are the people I meet detecting, like a 6 year old boy that was detecting on the beach and later showed me his finds. I told him he found more than I did in clad and that if he was finding nickels, jewelry was in the same range, his mother's eyes lit up, and I'm thinking, oh what have I done lol! A lest he will be able to detect! Lol!

Some nice rings terry! I havnt found much with my detector yet but i'm still trying!

HA HA HA! Kitt, I have been detecting for more than 45 years! Just give yourself a few more years. As you get more experience, you will get better. Then, the experience will start to dictate where and how to hunt. Some call it the learning curve. It is directly proportional to the time and places you hunt. You'll be there finding baubles like mine in no time! Just keep at it! Terry

MsBB, merely baubles in a throw-away world! I would not trade ANY of my friends for these... trinkets. Well, maybe years ago, I might have. But then I got older and WISER. Terry
