I wanted to share this info. Trimble GPS Hunt / Fish has a free app for smartphones and an SD card that contains land owner info for the entire state. The free app also containts topo and satellite maps. This should make research a little easier. Google Trimble GPS Hunt Fish for the website.

I have to tell you I downloaded this app and in 5 minutes found a creek that I had been searching for on Google maps for over an hour. Thanks for the lead.

I used NETR in Google and old maps that go back to 1964-2004,I now have found allot more places by my house that I can search.

A good site for Texas is the Texas State Archives and Map Collection. They have highway maps for various years as well as some others.
