HI everyone, thanks for looking at this and for any suggestions u may have...I found this east of Athens, Al years ago and most people believe it is from a Texas trooper's blanket IMAG0677.webpIMAG0676.webp....your thoughts?

sorry...it is pewter i believe on front with lead filled back

Thanks Citiboy289, i did do some research on terry's texas rangers and they did come through this area around athens....it was found next to a creek along a narrow wagon trail that followed the creek...my brother found some strange 2 piece buttons about 30 feet away that had the image of windmills on the fronts with no backmarks...the windmills look like the big ones you see in the country of Holland.WEIRD..thanks for the insight!!

As I recall, one was in the "Ask Mark Parker" section of Western and Eastern Treasures Magazine a while back, and the price he quoted was several hundred dollars. You can look at old issues free online, and you may be able to find them. I think the title of the little blurb about the find had the word "Star" in it.
