Testing is DONE... now here's the gold.

Seems like months... but really its been weeks.
Testing and testing and testing.
Finding the good spots and the gold lines.
Then figuring out the best matting config for this homemade beast...

We're on a decent gold line that should last as long as we can run, before winter pushes us out.
At least by that time we'll be focused on our mine / op in Honduras.

Running bare mats.
Dual engines at 100% screaming water over them with the 5".
Running all RiverHog with riffles cut lower and lower as it goes down the sluice.
Upper portion has 1/4" punch plate for about 20" with VERY low Riverhog under it.

This is about an hour test run.

All the pics are the same pan.
Real happy we can just run now and stop "thinking" so much.

Tapped into the corner...

What angle of drop are you using for your box while running like that?

it is on our 5" dredge... we can't really get too much pitch.
We have moved our motors to the vary back.
We have moved our air system to the very back.
We have even put two LARGE rocks on the back to get more.
I will have to measure it, but I'm sure it's at least 8%.
I'll try and get the measurement while it's running.

Can we see photos of the the sluice box and punch plate?

It's the same as in the last video of the dredge, but we put new mat in to handle the BIG, deep, FAST flow.
It's all RiverHog now, but we cut it down as you get further down the sluice.
We also cut the main riffle alternating the cut angle every other mat. Like: / then \ then / etc.
One gives a soft rolling vortex, the other a sharp cutting strong one.
We are running the engines at 100%, more pitch, and really screaming the water.
Keep in mind we don't have a flare on this unit, so the design is strange on the top.
