Tesoro Compadre

Wanted to see what the consensus was on using a Tesoro Compadre at the beach? Reason is I might have the option to purchase one for about 125 with a Lesche tool, headphones, bag and sand scoop.

It will work fine at the beach. If its salt water just hunt where everyone sits on their towels. You can't use it in the ocean or the wet sand because the salt water is conductive and intensifies the mineralization of the sand and drives the metal detector crazy with false signals. If its fresh water you can hunt the wet sand and go in the water just don't get the control box wet.
