I picked up this specimen last spring at a local rock and mineral show and did not get around to taking any photos until last night.
It is Hackmanite variety sodalite from st Hilliare according to the label. Its a pretty cool piece not only is the hackmanite highly fluorescent orange under long wave uv light, it turns a purple color for a few days in regular light after the uv exposure. Photos are before, during uv and after of each side of the rock. Thx.
