I had to deposit a check for the wife so I volunteered to take the kids to the bank with me. Of course I asked for halves ($30, which I skunked on) and bought some dimes as well. I asked the teller to keep me in mind if she got anything that looked old. So in my change she gives me a silver certificate. She says she would have bought it but since I asked she is giving it to me.
This is the second act of real kindness from a teller this week. There are some really nice ones out there.
As for the dimes, I scored one 1964 Rosie.
I'll try to hit a few open banks on Monday.
Good luck everyone,
OWS
