OpenLibrary, a non-profit associated with the InternetArchive, has expanded it's free e-book library by 1.5 Million publications.. this is temporary only and was made possible by [a loophole?] the National Declaration of Emergency.
Copyright holders may be suing to have many still-copyrighted titles removed so get looking and grab what you can, while you still can !
In just a few minutes I got several of Glenn Carson's books ..

Edit: the e-book opens in web browser .. you can save it to PC but it's encrypted with a 2-week expiration and requires Adobe software or ePub reader
