Went in to one of my dump banks today and got a surprise. One of the tellers comes running up and hands me the tiniest and thinnest coin and asks what is it? I look at it closely and recognize it as a AG4 or so three cent Trime. It was hard to see without a loop but it looked ok. She asked what it was worth and I said I wasn't sure but at least a $10. She said I could keep it and smiled and walked away. I couldn't see the date at the time without reading glasses so it could have been worth most anything and my guess of $10 wasn't too far off the mark. It was an 1853 - one of the more common dates. Not a bad day and I can check off another from my list of finds from CRH! Maybe I'll post a photo of it when I get a chance. Sometimes you find the strangest things when you go out searching and dang if it doesn't always seems to come when you least expect it!
