Tell Me About The CZ-3D

Not getting on with my new machine very well at all. Considering trading it off for a CZ-D3.

I don't have much experience with Fisher detectors. I did purchase an F2 recently for my kids and it is quite impressive for it's price point (and then some).

So just how good is the CZ-3D?

In my opinion the CZ-3D is the most underrated detector on the market. Its simple to turn on and go and gets superior depth. Great to use at the beach in the wet sand. You do have to slow down on your swing speed and get accustomed to the tones(learn the detectors language) and you will do a lot of digging at first but it is no big learning curve compared to some detectors. The CZ-3D loves silver and copper, I have been to plenty of hunted out sites and still pulled silvers, wheaties and Indian heads out! By the way you will probably dig more nickels with this machine than any other detector! Now in saying all of this I had a 1021 NASA Tom Calibrated CZ-3D, but I have also tested some of the newer units and they have impressive and some of them were not too impressive. Now... when I say not too impressive I mean not up to par with a normal performing CZ-3D but it will still out perform most detectors and I always recommend to send it to Tom whether if its new or old.

It is probably because the CZ line will eventually be phased out. The CZ3D will probably be discontinued soon.
