I swung by the local flea market and picked up this non-runner Timex with a telephone dial and mechanical. I was really surprised when I took the watch apart part that the dial was a deep deep deep purple. Interesting that it has a black second hand which is almost invisible. I’m not sure why they didn’t go white or even read to make it more legible. A quick cleaning and re-oiling and it’s running well. The case is perfect which is rare for these. I’ve seen a lot of the electric ones but I’ve been wanting a manual wind one for a while now. I paid up for it at $25 but it’s easily worth more than that now that it’s a runner. IMG_6804.webp

That is really cool and looks totally different than what you normally see in watches. Great find!
 

That looks like a keeper. Reallly cool looking.
