Teknetic Delta 4000 coin setting?

I recently got a Teknetics Delta 4000 and still very green with it. I’ve tried following the manual but for some reason my pennies ping the same as dimes. Would really appreciate any and all advice on what settings I should put it on that would best suit coin hunting. Thanks!

Copper pennies and dimes ring in close to each other on the target ID scale look at your manual on page 16 dimes ring in as an 82 and copper pennies ring in as 81 or 82 . Dimes should be a little higher number than the copper penny. When I started I ran in discrimination mode, and discriminated out everything and then notched nickels and zincs back in. Just know you will still dig some trash, try to dig targets that the target ID is solid when you swing over it in multiple angles or the TID only varies by 1 or 2. Doing this will allow you to dig more treasure than trash. You will miss some gold items using this setting, but how many gold rings will be were you are hunting. The more experience you get the less discrimination you should use. After 4 years I only disc out the lower end of iron on my F75LTD.
