Teeny-weeny flat button ID

Very small button. Shank is as big as button. Looks like outline of crown in center. Any info appreciated.

It may be part of a cuff-link.

A better focused picture of the front will help with the research efforts.

It almost looks like a crown over a flower.

Officers of the British Royal Navy wore the rose on their buttons, until it was replaced by the fouled anchor in the last half of the 18th century. Perhaps something to look at.

I don't see a crown anymore but it still looks like a Tudor rose button.
