Hi everyone like I stated yesterday I don't post much anymore. But I'm out daily finding stuff still. Thought you'd all appreciate looking at some of these finds. All of this has been recovered over the past month learning the etrac.

Would have liked to bought the CTX but it was just a little out of my budget right now. I traded in my v3 witch is also a great unit. Areas that I pounded with the v3i the etrac would not see one old coin. But in bad soils the etrac does excel over the whites.

All of these finds have come from heavily worked sites. The dirty finds on the paper towel are the past 3 days worth of finds that I haven't cleaned up yet. Including a ww2 sterling marksman badge plus a solid sterling pocket watch back etc.

The u.s belt plate came from a heavily hunted foundation site. I knicked the edge of it to. I sent it to Roland frodigh and he did great job in repairing it. He suggested I don't clean the plate due to the soil it was found in.

Sorry about the crummy phone pics. Hope you all enjoy looking at these finds

HH Jer

Hey Jeremy!

Hope you and Lance are well.

Give me a call. Let's get together again. It's been a while.

oh yeah...great finds.

And to those that don't know J...this ain't nuthin! :)

Thanks guys finding that plate was a real thrill. I have it on video but I can't seem to access my you tube account. Here is a better pic of a nice mens sterling ring. You can't see it real well in the pics.

looks like you are killing it, the etrac and you are doing a great job at pulling out the good stuff and the ring does look a lot better, congrats on the great finds

I went backwards having a CTX for a year and then I got a Etrac on trade. The Etrac is a very good machine; similar to the CTX. I swing either one depending on my mood for the day.

The makings of your very own personal museum.

Nice digs Jeremy, looks like you have been busy. I haven't been out but for two short hunts this summer. Had surgery on my left hand and wrist in July and it is just now good enough to do some serious digging. Congrats on the belt plate. I know Roland well. Have hunted with him several times and he has straightened (but not repaired) two of my Confederate plates.

Wow!
I hit a civil war site which was an actual camp with a history marker on it...struck out. Gonna go back and try some different land close by. Super nice finds!

Thanks a lot everyone. Lol museum you should see my basement. I have a real passion for saving and perserving history. Glad to hear your getting back into shape Steve. Yeah I normally don't hunt much this time of yr. But I needed to get a good bit of hrs on this new unit quickly. I've been out almost every day digging signals before I gotta go to work.

I think I got the etrac pretty down pat after about 60 hrs in the field. I walked by this plate a few times in the past. Its amazing how you can miss things at sites. Even when you think they are cleaned out. This was found in the rough part of the foundation. It was in a run off area.

Yeah roland did a nice job on the plate. It was just a very small knick on the edge thankfully. Big target hard not to scratch it. Thought it was gonna be a pipe or something.

I'll be back soon with another batch of finds

Man those are some great finds. I am also from the pittsburgh area. I am originally from Elizabeth, but am up SRU for school now and still detecting haha. Is that token with the hole in it for pittsburgh railways? I found one of those too this summer. Once again just awesome finds I hope to find a few more silvers or old coppers before winter sets in. I'm starting to door knock and it's paying off up here. How do you clean your IHC? The PA soil is usually so hard on them I'd like to clean my common dates better, but I soaked one in peroxide and it turned greenish so I've been weary to clean anymore for now.

That's an amazing collection! congrats!
