I have no problem teaching her how to sell on eBay. I have got her account up and running for a couple years now. I had her list 3.1 grams of 14k scrap just to get her a quick first sale. Melt is $70. Here are the first offers; $60,$60,$50,$45 (I'll pay right away) and a $25(immediate payment if you accept my offer). So she's enjoying the comments. Like, she would rather wait 1/2 hr for payment to get $60 over paid now for $25!

But I would be happy if she listed 3 things a week. I don't care if it's auction or bin. But she seems so board sometimes. And has no hobbies. Maybe this will help? Maybe I created a monster too... I'll wake up at 4 am and go in the office to see my Morgan collection being listed... :(

Well you are very lucky to get her interested in the same thing you like and do.. And bring in the money ….

How can she be bored with young children to take care of? That's a full time job in itself, lol.

Oh no she's good with that. But there's no hobbies. Other than cleaning the house all day. She doesn't spend any time enjoying anything unless were out of the house together everybody on a daily outing. I'm not trying to force anything on her however making a couple dollars during some down time during the week might be beneficial for when she wants to take the girls shopping when they're older! Hair and make up comes to mind...

Just wait until she finds that $500 item for a few bucks, she will get hooked too! Picking together seems like fun, my wife sometimes goes with and tries to point out items she thinks I may want. Occasionally she picks a great one.

Wait till the kids wanna get involved then her management skills will be impeccable.

Mine usually always goes with me. She finds something good every once in a while too. Mostly she brings me the items and I say yes or no, usually no. She doesn't get involved on the eBay side of things, though I wish she would.

my wife is not able to come out with me to yard sales. Which I guess she could but she would have to bring the little kids and they don't like going and I prefer not to go with them either. We can go to the museum all day long or the zoo just about anywhere but taking three kids under the age of 10 to yard sales is worse than going to the dentist.

We end up with a car full of garbage toys that we don't play with when We get home so they get left in the car. Everybody's hungry 15 minutes after we leave the house even though we just had breakfast. It's imperative we all use the bathroom 45 times! And then we complain the whole time that's too hot, we don't want to do this, we want to go to the pool, we want to go to the beach, we want to go to her friends house, we want to go to Chucky cheese, you want to go to the museum, we want to do anything but do what we're doing.

We have tried this. We have resolved it by me leaving the house at 6:45 in the morning before anybody's awake and I will see them when I get home! I would like for her to go but I'm not hiring a babysitter. Eventually one will be old enough to leave the other ones at home with her. But more than likely by the time this happens my son will be playing football on Saturday mornings anyways. Or having practice hopefully I can just drop him off and go!

One weekend I took my son we found nothing worthwhile because he had a fit he had to go into the bathroom at for houses in a row. I knew he was full of nothing but he was so upset and it was so embarrassing I don't think I'll ever take him again with me. It was ridiculous because all he really wanted to do was come home and watch TV...

I've started teaching my mom how to ebay, it's pretty great actually. The hardest thing about it is teaching her to have a picker's eye. I guess I take it for granted, but most people cant discern valuable from trash. I've started her out on north face fleeces and other easy stuff, so hopefully she'll get more confident soon and do research on her own.
