That may be because of the model. In my area i believe the models are older and the reject tube is lower then the reject tray, also the best method for getting rjects is to fill the machine as many models dont allow access to the recect tube.

The other day I found in the reject slot, a penny that looked to be cut in half, a 1 euro coin (not eurocent) and 2 british large cents from 1916 and 1923(silver plated). Penny arcade rejects when you dump too much at once, someone could've dumped a bunch of silver and that slipped through! :o

Thanks for the info. I take the penny arcade moniker literally and have a TD account just for the one purpose of dumping zincolns. They are soooo fast. I don't trust them with anything bigger.

I actually went to a TD today to dump reject halves, and when the bag filled up multiple times, the teller just stayed with me and changed the bag without closing the machine. I noticed a silver dime on the floor area that the machine usually covers, and the teller let me have it, and then let me search the foreign/reject envelope they keep with the machine. Found 6 Roosies, 1 Merc, and 3 Quarters, the best part is the guy let me keep them for free :headbang:

Total Melt Value: Aprox $35
Cost: $0.00

My luck is going to run out soon I figure lol, bc I know there's a lotta hunters here on Long Island.
