Crazy that tchaire just posted about finding the other half to a blade, because the same thing just Happened to me and I’m speechless. Yesterday I posted a broken chopper/blade tip and point I found, today I was back on the same buddy’s property and came across another broken chopper/blade. I actually have a few in my collection and they are all broke in pretty much the same way, so I didn’t think too much of it. As I’m going to set my new blade half down on my display, I looked at the tip I found yesterday, matched them up and BOOM!!!!!!! They matched up against all odds, and has become, without contest, the biggest piece in my collection. I’m over the moon. In other news I found a broken Newnan. Would have been my biggest if it were whole. Maybe I’ll find the other half someday.

Wow that’s a huge blade and awesome you found the rest of it .... will look great in a display case you have some killer points down your way

It must have been amazing moment when you realized the two halves matched. Plus you end up with a big old biface. Excellent.

Incredible and amazing match!
I sometimes find broken halves that seem more like larger unfinished pieces. I wonder if this blade was broken during manufacture. Or, is the break more recent?

Persistence = successful hunter. Rewalking a site that was a barren disappointment last week, finding something today. That + plain luck puts points and tools in your collection.

That is nice! Our blade is the biggest one in our collection too. When I find a big piece like that, I always try to imagine what it would like whole. At least with these we now know.
