Stopped on the way home from work at the local fairgrounds to make a few quick swings before heading home. Got the usual clad, but got a strong signal deep and decided I'd give it a try and out popped this neat Tax token from Alabama. There is no date so no telling how old it is. Afew minutes later another deep signal and was acting odd, trying to be a penny but just would'nt make up its mind so I figuired what the heck and started diggin and man what a surprise! a 1910 wheatie thats been holed and put on a bracelet. I think the bracelet is copper also. Was a short hunt but a fun one!

Way to go Jack. I see you are seeking every opportunity to find more stuff! Don't it make ya wonder how an Alabama tax token got to Centreville?

That is interesting. I would have put the hole above lincolns head(not much space though.)
Perhaps the person who did that, put the hole at what you might call the bottom of the coin out of respect. Cool find.
