Made it out to my new old site for a couple hours today after work. Total flat buttons there at 46 in 2 hunts, but the Tallio cuff links were a pleasant surprise. Love digging the 200 year old targets in a site with zero trash or modern targets except some ammo.

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Congrats on the linked pair of Tallio cufflinks. I have found several of them, but never a linked pair. Usually when you find that many buttons a few coins will pop up too, so you are due for acuple coins at least.
What is the pie shaped piece that looks like a piece of cut Spanish silver?

What an assortment- simply awesome- Congrats!!

Those are the only 2 silver plated buttons. Interesting that one is cut in half and one quartered with the shank bump missing. Almost like they were attempting to make cheap counterfeit Spanish coins. Could just be coincidence. Only the DB so far for coins and it was really deep and faint. Got to be some more interesting finds in there with the quantity of buttons. Thx!

Man, those are some old buttons too, it appears to me that your site dates from the late-1700s. I've never found a complete cuff link set either. As Steve mentioned, it's surprising that at least one LC didn't pop up. I'd much rather be digging colonial trash then new junk any day though!

This spot is loaded with old buttons, but not a lot of the other typical stuff I find. No horse tack, buckles, rivets, rings, crotal bells, blobs of lead, hinges, etc. one DB LC last week and another deep faint copper coin yesterday. I think there are good targets in there, starting to dig the super iffy targets. Thx
