:hello2: All, well today went for a quick hunt before work 1/2 hr.
1st. 15 min. nothing....Then I hit this spill that took me at least 10 min.
to dig....end result a 2' in diameter X close to 1-1/2' deep hole that
yielded $2.95 in clad and 1 ear ring.

The small pile on the left was from yesterday...it also gave me a 1946 Nickle.
pile on the right was the spill.

Wow, biggest pocket spill I've seen, if that is what it was. I wonder if there was a container of some sorts that either rotted or is still around there somewhere. Very cool.

Seems a bit much for a spill.......agree with comments above......nice pic and thank you for posting

Your spill "look's fairly new" but, could have been in something; maybe a child's stash ? what is the latest date coin in the pile ,if you don't mind? NICE WORK

Did you find it on a beach

Dig until your arm falls off

Love those spills whatever variety they might be. 8-) :key::key::key: I would recommend the Pro-Pointer if you don't have one which almost always saves "A whole lots of time". For me its a don't leave home without it :metaldetector: item now. :treasurechest:

The newest is 2012.

This was on the beach.....SO..... looks like someone might have
pulled everything out of pocket, lead it on the blanket, picked up blanket
when leaving and forgot about the change and it ended up in the sand ???

I have a HF pinpointer, it works..BUT..I prefer to use my trusty black plastic sand scoop :laughing7:
it works like a champ.

Thanks for all the replies, you guys are AWESOME! :occasion14:
