Found a 1955 d today in the same place! Nice find!

It was my buddies turn to buy lunch so I walked across the street to subway and placed the order. When I was handed the change I looked down and saw it, 1943 war nickel. When I returned I told my buddy he was a lucky sob and handed him the change. He turns to me and says, I may be lucky but your dumb, I would gave switched it for a clad nickel and kept the 43. Great friend huh?

I look in the take a penny leave a penny jar at my local grocery store every week, and my best find has been a 1927 wheatie. I also find a lot of Canadian coins.

Nice save! That is in great shape! I'd need to use a 10X loop to "spot" that!

I do believe people are spending what they used to save, so the older coins are back in circulation.

Mr. MJ- no good deed goes unpunished!! Lol! Welcome to my world!

Thanks guys! and I have heard that those coinstars kick out the silver. I'll keep my eyes open!
