Any ideas and thoughts come to your head on this artifact please just spit it out! This was found deep in the ground in a Civil War camp but was also on land that was once farmed, I found several rivets and buttons/3 ringers around this artifact also but does not mean this could be pre-cw. Thanks!

I am positive it is a space alien arrow head from the early 18th century! LOL I couldn't resist.

The slots look like they were cut with a oxey/acetylene torch, do I see slag in the photo? CW stuff, oblong holes like those would have to be punched, how else would they have cut them. At least that's my take on it. Anything on a still look like that, or could it be broken off something on a still?
