Tag with initials?

Found this at an old meeting house cica 1800's. At first I thought it said DOB (date of birth) but now it looks like DGB? any thoughts what it is?? Rich.

It could be a nametag that was on an antique steamer truck with the owner's initials. Is it made of tin or brass; it's hard to tell from the pic? Neat find, Breezie
