Hello, I found this international harvester brass tag in front of an old barn with a # of 1435 and marked model A. I haven't had any luck researching an approximate year of manufacture. Measures 1 1/2 x 3 inches. Thanks. Mm2

hanks for any help.

Assuming that was off a farmall model a, they were made starting in 1939 and went through 1947-48. With a sub-1500 serial # id say 1939 or early 1940.

That’s a cool find. IH collectors would love to get their hands on that early of an item.

nice tractors
I have woods finish decks on mine, three blades. always got a good cut.

my late step father worked at the international harvester plant. Many years ago, he was at our place looking at my tractor, pointed to a bolt and said "the night shift assembled the tractor". I asked how he could tell and he said something like, the day shift would use a round head on this bolt, the night shift a hex head.

Thank you all. The property owner had questions about it but I couldn't find much on the internet. Thanks again👍🙂
