Hi all,

Found this in my yard after work today. It was at about 8 inches, but then my house was built in 1907 when the Coal boom was going on in the area. Tons of hits everywhere. All around 8 inches. And yes lot's of trash. But I have found a coal miners tag, and a token from a town about 10 miles from here.

Anyway, I tried researching it on the WWW, but came up empty.

Maybe some kind of nylon supporter?

Any thoughts or have you seen these?

Thanks

Not that old, in the 1970's that style of labeling was used on socks, yarn, elastic strapping and so on, even some dental floss came in a flimsy aluminum foil square tube container.

Via a quick online search at US Trademark office:
Beltx registered two trademarks - both of them now expired.
Your version has the 5-pointed star above the letter "e" in Beltx.

This trademark was first used in commerce in April 1928, so that likely establishes the EARLIEST that this item could be. (?)
The 2nd trademark renewal was in September 1993, so presumably the trademark was still in commercial use at that time.
The last listed owner is Duro-Med Industries, Inc. St. Louis, MO.

Here's a screen grab from USPTO site:
