Went on another spotlight led hunt but it was early morning rather than the usual after hours. Found a nice one. I think it’s a table rock..?

I’m actually going to edit the post and suggest that it might be a merom based on the description provided in the table rock. It feels like the base of my point is ground slightly but doesn’t extend past the sides.

That’s a beautiful point that’s a really nice color combo .... iv never even considered hunting in the dark but with the points you have been finding maybe I should.

Looks like a classic Table Rock to me. Beautiful heat treated flint. Heated colorful flint is normal for Table Rock points. Gary

The Illinois state archaeological survey doesn’t differentiate between bottleneck and table rock - they just say table rock, or sometimes called bottleneck... it does look more like a table rock than a Merom. I’m just not sure how to tell if the base is ground or not which a ground base is not a feature of the table rock.

Late archaic

I’m sure you’re right that it’s a table rock.
