Het guys I was wondering if anyone could do a quick search for me? I have one of these and I'm getting ready to list it but don't know where to start seeing how prices are all over the board…… I would be willing to send you a few $'s if you wanted….

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It should show up if you search "1944 U S NAVY AIRCRAFT CABLE TENSION METER IN WOOD BOX" said it sold on October 7, 2007…..

I used to manage aircraft tools and those are pretty hot if someone required one for use, but I am not sure what a antique one would go for. Seems like we had purchased new ones for about $400. I gave some away to the state police when we had a surplus of them. They have to be calibrated before they can be used.

I would list it high and then go down as required, or list it for what you want and let it bid up. I would also list it in a couple of categories in order to get the maximum amount of bids. List it at a price that you are comfortable with minus about 10% for Ebay fees.

Thank you for the input... I was thinking about listing as a BIN at $600 and so if there's any interst... I wonder if it has any historical significance since it was used during WWII?...

I agree that listing it on eBay is the best bet! Just make sure that you list it in the correct and best Listing Category for the item such a Militaria items. I doubt that listing it in multiple categories will help much and it will double or triple the Listing Fees that you are charged. List it at a $0.99 Starting Price with a Reserve Price that you are willing to accept on it. The $0.99 Starting Price keeps the fees that you pay much lower. Do not use a "Buy It Now" Price unless you put a "Make An Offer" option along with it. Items listed with high "Buy It Now" Prices do not do well unless they have a "Make An Offer" option but even then, if the "Buy It Now" Price is too high, you won't even get offers.
