I originally thought this was just some obscure part of some old machine that no one would recognize until I dug up a second one at another property. So now I'm thinking they are more common than I at first thought. So I'm putting it on here to see if someone can identify it for me. Both came from lawns in Indiana with homes that are over 100 years old. Thanks again, as always. Mystery item.jpg

Thanks Village Nut. I didn't see a Ford logo, but I'll look again. If I keep finding Model T Ford parts, I think someday I'll be able to build my own.

FORD actually contracted with several coil manufacturers to provide that part for at least some of their earlier models.
One that I dug up was stamped K-W (the manufacturer) w/patent date, see below along with a little info...ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1446932125.252169.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1446932210.741230.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1446932279.995599.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1446932319.348174.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1446932386.017868.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1446932416.269775.jpg

Here is one that I dug that has the Ford logo, and yes they did contract out many of their parts.
