Looks like a modern re-styling of the coat of arms for the city of Nuremberg in Germany:
Strictly, the eagle should be on a gold field, but I suppose it's possible that area was gilded and has been polished away. From what I see the cup has had some serious polishing. Does that in any way fit with what you have. What do you mean by 'cup'? A trophy? Something beverage related? A small souvenir-type thingy?
As confirmation on Red-Coat's ID of the emblem... that particularly distinctive version of spread-winged eagle was the symbol of the Prussian Empire, before most of that area of Europe became known as Germany.
